Zahlreiche japanische Kommunen passen ihren Fünf-Jahres-Masterplan an und finden dafür auch Impulse in Lüneburg. Dazu besuchten uns am Freitag, 9. September, Stadtplaner*innen aus Fernost. Unter der Leitung von Prof. Hattori (Ryukoku Universität, Kyoto) informiert sich die zehnköpfige Delegation über die Projekte der Zukunftsstadt im Wohnprojekt Speicherbogen und am Marienplatz (siehe Foto). Sie folgten anschließend einem Vortrag von Sara Reimann (Projektmanagerin LG2030plus) und Tobias Neumann (Stabsstelle Nachhaltigkeit) im Glockenhaus. Auch Volker Geball, Vorsitzender der Deutsch-Japanischen Gesellschaft Lüneburg, hieß die Gäste mit einem Grußwort und einem Vortrag im Glockenhaus willkommen. Die Gesprächspartner*innen waren überaus interessiert und stellten zahlreiche Fragen hinsichtlich Stadtplanung, Verordnungen, demografischer Entwicklung und Förderung von Mensch und Natur.

Die Zukunftsstadt Lüneburg gilt als gelungenes Beispiel und hat innerhalb bei den Besuchern vom Japan Intercultural Academy of Municipalities für Aufmerksamkeit gesorgt.“

Japanese city planners are learning about Zukunftsstadt Lueneburg
Japanese communities are currently looking to re-adjust their five-year masterplan regarding sustainability. They are finding ideas in Lueneburg as well. Ten Japanese colleagues were visiting Lueneburg on Friday, 9th September, under the guidance of Prof Hattori (Ryukoku University Kyoto) to learn about the projects of #LG2030. They were visiting the co-housing project Speicherbogen and the re-modelling of the town square “Marienplatz”. Afterwards, they followed talks of Sara Reimann (Lg2030 project manager) und Tobias Neumann (Hansestadt Lüneburg), Also Volker Geball, chair man of the German-Japanese Association, welcomed the honourable guest with a report. Organiser Koji Nagari, a German-speaking city planner and guide of the exchange: „Sustainability is of major importance in Japanese city planning. Zukunftsstadt Lueneburg is at the forefront of this endeavour. It has raised a lot of attention with the visitor from the Japan Intercultural Academy of Municipalities.“
